A Canadian immigration pathway that allows provinces and territories to nominate skilled workers, graduates, and entrepreneurs for permanent residence based on local labor market needs. Successful applicants can obtain Canadian permanent resident status and eventually become eligible for citizenship.

Express Entry PNP
THE FAST TRACK

Create Profile

Build your Express Entry profile with IRCC, including education, work experience, and language scores.

Apply to Province

Submit an application to a participating province or receive a Notification of Interest from them.

Receive Nomination

Obtain a provincial nomination certificate after the province reviews your application.

04

Gain +600 CRS

Your Express Entry profile receives 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System points.

Receive ITA

Receive an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence from the federal government.

THE DIRECT ROUTE
01

Choose a Stream

Identify a provincial immigration stream that matches your profile and qualifications.

Apply Directly

Submit your application directly to the province's immigration program, outside of Express Entry.

03

Receive Nomination

The province reviews and issues a nomination based on their labor market needs.

Submit PR Application

Apply for permanent residence through the federal government using your nomination certificate.
